Community

Subaru and its retailers partner with Operation Warm® to visit local homeless shelters and support agencies to provide children with brand-new necessities like coats, shoes, and socks.

These essential items not only help keep children protected, warm, and dry, they can also have a significant impact on a child's mental and emotional well-being.

Through this partnership and other historical Subaru Loves to Help efforts, Subaru and our retailers will have helped nearly 900,000 children and adults in urgent need so far.

Community

Environment

Subaru and our retailers are committed to protecting and preserving the Earth, not just by our words, but also by our actions.

More than 13 million pieces of hard-to-recycle waste collected and recycled through TerraCycle®.

Health

Subaru believes we all should have a chance to lead a healthy life. That's why Subaru and its retailers, like us, partner with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society® (LLS) and their local hospital or cancer treatment center to give warm blankets and encouraging messages of hope, written by retailers and Subaru customers in their stores, to support patients facing cancer. Through our partnership with LLS, we've supported nearly 350,000 cancer patients nationwide. We're proud to be LLS's largest automotive donor.

Health

Education

Subaru and its retailers, like us, are continuing our support of education and high-needs schools in our communities through Subaru Loves Learning(R) by providing teachers across the country with funding to purchase the school supplies and resources they know are needed to help students thrive in the classroom. Through our partnership with AdoptAClassroom.org, Subaru and its retailers will have supported more than 470,000 students nationwide and are proud to be their largest corporate supporter.

Pets

Subaru believes all pets deserve a loving home. That's why Subaru and its retailers, like us, partner with a local animal shelter every October to provide direct financial assistance and host adoption events to help animals find loving homes. Through our partnership with local and national organizations, we have donated over $51 million, which has supported the adoption, rescue, transport, and health of over 420,000 animals. We're proud to be the largest corporate donor to the ASPCA.

The Subaru Share the Love® Event

Subaru and its retailers believe in giving back to our communities. That's why for every new vehicle sold or leased during the Subaru Share the Love event, Subaru and its retailers, like us, makes a donation to national charities that our owners care about and to over 2,100 local charities where Subaru owners live and work.

Now, after 15 years, Subaru and our retailers have donated over $256 million to charity all to give back and to make the world a better place.

Driving Warmth: How Summit Subaru and Crisis House Are Changing Lives

For years, Summit Subaru has partnered with Crisis House to bring warmth and hope to families facing hardship. Through Project Warm, hundreds of coats have found their way into the hands of those who need them most. But this year, Summit Subaru wanted to do more. When planning began for the 2025 event, Summit Subaru took their commitment to the next level—insisting on hosting the coat drive at their dealership for the first time. It was a powerful statement, demonstrating not just corporate generosity, but a deep-rooted belief in the mission of Crisis House: supporting families navigating some of life’s toughest challenges. At the heart of this initiative is Bexzaida, Love Encore Delivery Coordinator at Summit Subaru, whose passion for giving back perfectly aligns with Crisis House’s values. From the moment she stepped into this project, her dedication to making a difference was unmistakable. She wasn’t just organizing a drive—she was creating an experience. With every new coat, pair of shoes, and bundle of socks collected, she focused on how to make each moment special for the children who would receive them. The impact was profound. Laughter echoed through the dealership as kids tried on their new winter gear, their smiles radiating pure joy. Happy tears were shed as parents watched their little ones experience a moment of kindness that so often feels out of reach during times of crisis. This is what sets Summit Subaru apart. It’s not just about donating—it’s about showing up, stepping in, and standing alongside the communities they serve. Their partnership with Crisis House goes beyond charity; it’s a testament to the power of compassion and the belief that everyone deserves warmth—not just from a coat, but from the kindness of others. To Summit Subaru: your unwavering support fuels our mission, and we’re beyond grateful for the impact we’ve made together. We can’t wait to see what else we can accomplish as partners in hope.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and Subaru of America and its Retailers

Dear Managers and Staff of Summit Subaru El Cajon, Thank you so much for your very kind support of patients and families coping with blood cancer. With your contribution to the Urgent Need Pediatric and Young Adult Program, you touched so many lives in such an important way. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is pleased to share the Urgent Need Pediatric and Young Adult Program Impact Report for your state, along with the national report for the period in which Subaru of America and its retailers provided your extraordinary support (June 1 – December 31, 2024). As a reminder, in partnership with Subaru of America and its retailers, the LLS Urgent Need Pediatric and Young Adult Program provided financial assistance to pediatric, adolescent and young adult blood cancer patients (birth to 39 years of age) who were in acute financial need. Eligible patients received a $500 grant to help offset non-medical expenses like transportation, food, housing, utilities, and acute dental work related to treatment. We hope you are as proud of your impact as we are. Please let us know if you have any questions and Thank You again for making a difference in the lives of blood cancer patients! Thank you! The Patient Financial Assistance Team [email protected] To donate please visit www.LLS.org Patient Testimonials: All I can say is, you have no idea how much your financial aid has helped me. I live in Western Kentucky and all we have here is just general oncologist. I have to travel to Lexington to see a CLL specialist which is 250 mi away (one way). Thank You and your partners. – David, Kentucky In November 2022 I received help from LLS Not only was I able to pay some bills I could get groceries for my family This cancer has caused a lot of damage to my family especially financially I have to travel from Akron to Cleveland and our car isn’t in the best condition Having a place like LLS to help families is amazing It allows my significant other to be with me at all appointments and if I have to stay in the hospital it helps pay for lodging Thank you so much for everything you do. – Kristina, Ohio I live alone except for my lil Buddy, a golden retriever. Some people might find it odd or even silly that my biggest worry was how do I keep my "best" friend of so many years who has separation anxiety. Neither of us likes being separated and up until now, it's not something either of us worried about. Your $500 grant has enabled me to work through the problem that made me so stressed out. I was able to find and hire a person to take my lil "Buddy" for the week after chemo each month which is the hardest on me and also, at the drop of a hat, take Buddy at times when I have to make unplanned trips to the hospital as a result of the chemo. Your grant has taken a huge expensive problem off my hands as I will be having the chemo for 6 months. Again, thank you. I'm sure some people think it's a silly thing to be so thrilled about but it's a huge comfort for Buddy and I. – Noel, West Virginia I received a shut-off notice for the electricity. Needless to say, I had no funds available. A few days later when I checked the mail, I had a $500 check from the LLS Financial Assistance Program I was at my wit’s end, and I had no money to pay my shut-off bill and have electricity. Thanks to the LLS Program. I cried as I opened that envelope, being so very thankful. They say that God never gives us too much to handle, and again, He proved that to me. I am very thankful to you all and for this wonderful program. - Barbara, Pennsylvania Thanks. To put it simply, my windshield wipers now work. It was an expensive, but simple, electrical repair--once the second mechanic finally found the electrical problem. With an incurable cancer, Erdheim-Chester Disease, help matters. – Laurie, Florida P

Another Great Event at Summit Subaru El Cajon

We had such a great time at the FREE Microchip Clinic held on 9/25/24 at Summit Subaru El Cajon! In a little over three hours, we microchipped 55 pets!! In addition, we provided FREE collars and personalized tags for over 65 pets! We were amazed at the turnout, some people came from Tecate, San Marcos, and even Potrero to do this for their pets. Note of Appreciation to Summit Subaru El Cajon

I am deeply grateful to Summit Subaru El Cajon for their generous support and assistance during my first year of teaching. Having had the pleasure of serving as the Subaru Loves Event Coordinator for four years, Subaru Loves Learning was always my favorite event to organize. Meeting the teachers and hearing their inspiring stories was incredibly rewarding. Now, as I begin my own teaching journey, it feels surreal to be on the other side of the Subaru Loves Learning event, experiencing firsthand the support and impact we once celebrated. Bexzy and Rone have been absolutely amazing, profoundly impacting my classroom, supporting my students, and enhancing my journey as a teacher. Summit Subaru El Cajon's contributions have been invaluable. This donation, which supports my classroom, allows me to create an exceptional learning environment and provide my students with additional tools and resources to foster their academic growth. Thank you for giving me such an incredible opportunity and a great start as a first-year 2nd grade teacher. Thank you, Clarissa Gomez

OPERATION WARM!

Hello Subaru in El Cajon, Here is the story of one of our survivors in our Transitional Housing Program. “In a world marked by hardship and challenges, a remarkable group of survivors found themselves on the receiving end of a truly heartwarming gesture. Subaru in El Cajon and Operation Warm, two compassionate organizations, came together to offer not just coats, but a tangible symbol of care and resilience. These coats became a source of comfort and inspiration, reminding the survivors that even in the face of adversity, there are still acts of kindness that can bring warmth to their lives.” Warm regards, Mariana L Diaz Domestic Violence Program Manager
